Hi, I’m Kendra, a vocal and piano instructor at Songbird Studio in Grayslake, IL.

​

Music has been my lifelong passion, and teaching has become one of my greatest joys. My love for music actually started at the piano, where I built the foundation that continues to shape how I teach today. I enjoy helping pianists feel comfortable at the keys, learning the basics step by step, and discovering the fun of making music.

I also love working with singers of all backgrounds—musical theater, choir, and contemporary commercial music—helping them build confidence and find freedom in their voices. Having once struggled with insecurity in my own singing, I understand the transformative power of vocal training. My teaching is rooted in Somatic Voicework™, emphasizing both technique and emotional expression.
