Hi, I’m Kendra, a vocal instructor at Songbird Studio in Grayslake, IL.

Music has been my lifelong passion, and teaching has become one of my greatest joys. I love working with students of all musical backgrounds—musical theater, choir, and contemporary commercial music—helping them build confidence and find freedom in their voices.

 

Having once struggled with insecurity in my own singing, I understand the transformative power of vocal training. My teaching is rooted in Somatic Voicework™, emphasizing both technique and emotional expression. I believe a strong foundation leads to greater vocal ease, artistry, and self-assurance.

 

In lessons, I focus on vocal technique, rhythm reading, lyric analysis, and score discovery to create well-rounded, expressive singers. Whether you're preparing for auditions, choir, or personal growth, my goal is to help you sing with confidence and authenticity.
